He lives with his mother and siblings and was brought to FOCOS courtesy of Joy fm. The Joy team also published his story and solicited funding from the general public to finance his bill. Bismark had his first surgery on August 15, 2019 and the second and final one on October 8, 2019, which was followed by a steady and remarkable recovery. He is currently back in Oti preparing to join his friends in school.
