Eden-Olivia was 11 years old when she found out that she had Scoliosis. Sharp pain in her back and stomach prompted her parents to have further testing done on Eden-Olivia. Although confused at first when diagnosed, Eden-Olivia ultimately embraced having scoliosis and focused on the positivity and how this would be a fun new experience and adventure in life. Eden-Olivia learned how to take care of her body and love her newfound uniqueness, although she used to dislike how she looked. Today, Eden-Olivia loves herself and body even more.
”KEEP GOING, YOU GOT THIS!”
This was Eden-Olivia’s motivational phrase. Keeping her brace on wasn’t easy, but a push from
her inner self helped her to accomplish this goal. Having surgery, recovery and getting through a
back brace for a year and a half has been her biggest achievement and she is thankful for how
much her family cared about her well-being during this time. Eden-Olivia defines herself as
caring and BRAVE!
Eden-Olivia’s advice to others is to be brave, because you are, and that you can do anything with
God as long as you believe you can!
Eden-Olivia started to make jewelry-rings and bracelets after her diagnosis with scoliosis. She
also enjoys cooking and taking the time to complete her exercises from her scoliosis therapist.
